Diving & Snorkeling in Mozambique

Mozambique has an international reputation for the best marine life in the most beautiful setting. It is here that visitors will be amazed at what can be found beneath the waves. Some of the different species that you will see include: the curious Inshore Bottlenose Dolphin, the shy and elusive Indo-Pacific Humpback, graceful Whale sharks and the beautiful Spinner Dolphin.

The Mozambican coast is fringed with coral reefs to dive. The Inhambane area, notably near the Barra beaches and the heavenly sub-tropical island areas of Bazaruto Archipelago and the Querimbas Archipelago are the premiere dive spots of Mozambique. Other world-class dive spots include Ponto do Ouro, where hammerheads and other tropical and game fish lurk; Vilanculos, where you can dive with whale sharks and Manta Rays at Manta Reef; and Ponta Malongane, where divers encounter giant turtles, game fish, and sharks.

Diving in Mozambique is ideal for novices and experienced divers alike with visibility under water at about 15 meters year-round, and a warm water temperature, between 22°C and 31°C.
